Question:

Respected SIR,

I am a nurse in India and now I am in UK on a student Visa (NVQ4). My wife is also a nurse in India.. Last month she applied for a dependent visa ( as my dependent) but unfortunately it got refused. the reason they have shown was I have worked more than 20 hours during college term time. it got rejected on 5th August. To resubmit the application, how many days we may have to wait? I hav got visa till May 2010. i have got two options.....

1. I will work 20 hours per week for 3 months, then apply once again.......OR
2. Shall I try to bring her on NVQ visa?
Which will be a better choice........ ?
Suppose she is applying for a student visa, how long she may have to wait for the next applicatioin.........?
As they have found that I have worked more than 20 hours during class time.....will there be any chance of rejecting my application if I try to extend my visa after the completion of my NVQ3?
Can you kindly reply for these queries please.....

Yours Faithfully,
Biju

Answer :

Thank you for your enquiry,
It occurs to me that your wife’s application was refused as you have worked more than 20 hours. I think you may be aware of the fact that, there are few options for the students in the UK can work more than 20 hours and there is no time limit whatsoever to make a fresh application for you wife. However I would suggest you to provide me with the refusal letter to assist you with your enquiry.

Sajeev Kooran
