| Question: Respected SIR, Will truly appreciate your advice! My husband is currently in the UK on HSMP visa and I am on Tier 2 work permit. We learned the process will be much easier if one of us change our visa status as dependant so that we can apply for PR together in a few months time. We would highly appreciate your advice on the procedure / application form for changing to dependant visa in the UK itself, without going to our home country to change the visa status as dependant. | Answer : Dear Bindhu, Thank you for your e mail. Please note that, an in country switching from Tier 1 or Tier 2 visas to a dependant category is not normally available. Therefore it may be ideal for you to go to your country of origin to switch as a dependant. Regards, Sajeev Kooran |
